General Questions

Any foreign national with a valid work pass (Employment Pass, S Pass, EntrePass), a Dependant’s Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass linked to a Singapore citizen or PR, or a student who has been studying in Singapore for an extended period. GIP applicants (investors) have a separate scheme.

ICA typically processes PR applications within 4 to 12 months. The average is around 6–8 months. Some complex cases or cases requiring additional documentation may take longer. There is no way to expedite the process — ICA processes all applications in the order they are received.

Yes, S Pass holders can apply for PR. While approval rates for S Pass holders are generally lower than EP holders, applicants with strong profiles (higher salary, longer tenure, in-demand industry) have good chances. Many of our successful clients were S Pass holders.

No. Applying for PR does not affect your current work pass status. Your employer is not notified of your PR application. Your work pass remains valid regardless of the PR application outcome.

Yes. You can include your legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21 as dependants in your PR application. Each family member will receive individual PR status if approved. Including family members can actually strengthen your application as it demonstrates long-term commitment to Singapore.

You can re-apply after 6 months from the rejection date. There is no limit on the number of re-applications. We recommend addressing the likely reasons for rejection before re-applying.
