Common Document Mistakes to Avoid
Based on our experience with Singapore PR Agency\u2019s 3,500+ applications, these are the most common document-related mistakes that cause delays or rejections.
Expired or expiring passport
Renew your passport before applying. ICA requires minimum 6 months validity from the date of application.
Missing CPF contribution history
Download your CPF statement from the CPF Board website. This is required even for S Pass holders who have CPF deductions.
Incomplete employment letter
Your employment letter must state your exact position title, monthly salary, date of commencement, and contract duration. Generic letters are insufficient.
Untranslated foreign documents
All non-English documents must be accompanied by certified English translations. Use a certified translation service, not a personal translation.
Low-quality passport photo
Use a professional photo with a white background, taken within the last 3 months. The photo must meet ICA’s specifications (35mm x 45mm).
Missing IRAS Notice of Assessment
If you filed taxes in Singapore, download your NOA from the IRAS myTax Portal. If you’re new to Singapore and haven’t filed taxes yet, note this in your cover letter.
